Happy 11 months!

Kaiden turned 11 months old today. How time flies! He's getting closer and closer to walking, and has been standing on his own for seconds at a time. He'll stop as soon as he realizes what he's doing though! lol

Peek-a-boo is an all time favorite here. He loves pulling a sheet up over his head and pulling it down so we can "find" him. He especially loves trying to play when he's supposed to be falling asleep! He's recently learned the fun of "Oops". He'll throw something on the floor, one of us will say Oops, retrieve it, and then it starts all over again... I swear, he could do this all day if we played along! His other most recent activity is clapping. He'll do it on his own, but also loves grabbing your hands and making you clap with him. Very cute!

Books are a real favorite here, hooray! He LOVES getting into the bookshelf and looking at books. He really, really loves being read to. His favorite book is "Cleo the Cat". It's a very cute story with simple rhymes and bright pictures, about a homeless cat who finds a home. And yes, I already have it memorized! ;)

We didn't do much to celebrate today, but we did have fun the rest of the weekend. Friday we took Tori and James and walked down to the playground. They were excited to play on all the equipment, and thought it was real fun to be "visiting" the school they'd be going to this fall. Kaiden loved playing around, and tried to eat the bark chips every chance he got! I think the slide was his favorite, but he loves the swings too.

Saturday we had originally intended to meet some friends down in Boston at the Children's Museum, but didn't date take such a long drive since K's ears and teeth have been bothering him again. Instead we all (Nate, K, Mom, the twins and myself) went to the beach. It was nice out, sunny, but not too hot. Since we went later in the afternoon, it wasn't really crowded either. Tori and James had a blast playing in the waves. Kaiden was really excited to be there, it was his first trip to the beach. It was low tide, so he had a BLAST crawling through all the pools. Of course, in true Kaiden fashion, he also attempted to eat a ton of dirt... Blech!

For those wondering, we've started planning his birthday party. It looks like it's going to be Saturday, July 28th, at some point in the afternoon. We haven't set a specific time yet, but as soon as we do, I'll be getting invitations out to everyone. In the meantime, you can check out his registry if you'd like. The link is to the right. :)

Hope you all are having fun, and enjoying what's been some really nice weather here!
