Bunch of FO's

Finally have a bunch of finished objects for you. Yay!

First up is one of two sets I made for my cousin's babyshower this weekend. Hope she likes them! The hat is from the Umbilical Cord Hat pattern in the SnB (Stitch N Bitch) book I received for Christmas - Thanks Em! The slippers are from the LTK Stripey Slippers pattern. Both are knit in Bernat Softee Chunky in the Nature's Way colorway.

Next is another pair of slippers for the babyshower. Same pattern and yarn as above, the colorway is Denim Ombre. A matching hat is on the needles, should be finished tomorrow.

This is one I finished at least a week ago, but, I'm loving it. My Gram bought a bunch of flat diapers when I was pg, which haven't gotten much use. This was my "experiment" dipe, and it worked amazingly well! All I did was back the flat with a piece of flannel. It isn't much thicker, and works so much better than it did before. These are my new love! Trim, very absorbent, breathable, soft, and of course cute! Here it is in action...

Last but not least is my very first Mei Tei! I need to shorten the waist straps, and add shoulder padding, but otherwise it's done. I made it using the Mae Mei Tei pattern, and I'm loving the idea of interchangeable panels. This was a relatively easy pattern to use, and I really like the results. I made mine with padded waist straps, and will be adding padding to the shoulders as well. The angle on the shoulder straps seem just right, and the straps themselves are neither thin nor too wide for me. I do plan on making the body a little taller, but that's really the only thing I'd change!

It is made of a nice, soft corduroy, and has interchangeable panels. I only have one made right now (shown), but have a stack of fabric waiting to be made into more. Even better than interchangeable panels, it's something DF will wear! YAY! I may turn him crunchy yet! ;)

Why not to knit in the middle of the night...

Here is your public service announcement for the day. Don't knit when you're overtired!

I had a pair of Stripey Slippers I was making my brother Brandon, and really wanted to get them finished the other night. After all, they were supposed to be a gift for Christmas, but I just couldn't get into knitting the second slipper for some reason.

The first slipper went great, but the second is, well... Here's the picture...

For those that don't know, that is *not* what it should look like! lol That's the sole of the slipper, and should be stripes the whole length, what you see on the left end of the slipper. Not only did I somehow mess up the striping, I also manged to somehow add stitches at some point, and made it wider.

At least in the end, it still fits him, and nobody sees the underside! Besides, now I've learned a very valuable lesson. Don't try knitting at 4am!
